Andy Howard
Director of American Racket (USA)Andy Howard is a sixth-generation Floridian currently based in Atlanta. He earned a Master of Arts in American Dance Studies, authoring a thesis on the history and social origins of American Team Clogging. Dedicated to outreach and education, Andy has led workshops and performance tours globally, including the U.S., South Korea, Italy, Brazil, Canada, and Costa Rica.
Andy has taught credit-earning dance courses in tap, clogging, and world dance at Florida State University and Santa Fe College. He was also a weekly instructor for the University of Florida's Dance for Life program, researching the impact of movement on people with Parkinson's Disease.
Beyond the dance floor, Andy is an accomplished fiddler and member of The Sugar Gliders old-time string and dance band. He blends his passion for rhythmic dance with traditional music perfectly.
